First off, thanks to everyone who stopped by yesterday to wish me a happy birthday, and to everyone else who sent me a deluge of text messages throughout the day.

Secondly, I’m heading out for a few days. I have a good friend who takes a sabbatical every year on her birthday, just throws some supplies in her car and starts driving. That sounds like a good idea to me, so this year I’m packing up and heading out.
