Summer days without rain or clouds or oven-like heat are a rare and precious commodity along this stretch of the PacNW, and we’ve had a streak of such days lately that are just right, so pickings around here have been even slimmer than usual and I haven’t been keeping up with your blogs like I should as I try to spend as much time as I can out of the house.
I’ll be back, no worries. Right now though, I believe there’s a cappuccino at the cafe down the street with my name on it, and a book I need to finish.
See you soon.

If the book is any good, will you share the title of it with us?

It’s the same one I had with me in San Diego – I’ve finally stopped distracting myself with the other two books I was reading and am making headway on “Foucault’s Pendulum.”

Enjoy! My nephew lives there and all he ever talks about is rain. LOL Having lived in the Seattle area, I know it’s true. Rain from August until April. Hope you finish the book!

Funny I was just looking at your blog when you commented on mine. I have been enjoying the weather lately in the pac nw except for the rain is here again today, blah. I wish I could go back over the mountains for their 80 degree days. sigh.
I wish I could find the time to read a book….hard to w/ a 7 yr old….sounds like heaven to read and have a coffee. But school starts again soon and I’ll get some time…..and more gym time, can’t wait.

Well, I still adore you whether you are here or there or nowhere to be found. Of course *I* get to see you in a couple of weeks so I may be a little less upset at your absence than usual.

Book, coffee… mmmmmm hmmmm. That’s goo-oo-ood! In fact, I think I’ll follow your excellent example.

I pretty much hate you right now. It was 106 yesterday and is supposed to be at least 103 today. I am so jealous.
