I went home sick after only a few hours of work today. As much as I enjoy kvetching about nearly everything (cf. my Twitter stream), being sick is one of the few things I won’t bellyache about (though I will post about it… er, maybe twice.). The reason why is because I don’t want to be diagnosed with a stereotypical Man Cold:

(Oh, and speaking of Twitter: a few people have told me now they think my tweets are funny, which amuses me because I’m used to keeping myself entertained and cackling at my own jokes, so for other people to find them funny is kinda cool. That being said, if you’re picking up what I’m laying down, can y’all help a brother get on Favrd one of these days?)

As much as I would like to put the blame for this post squarely at the feet of Ashley Awesome, who clued me in to the existence of movie making site Xtranormal with her own contribution to the art world, “Fungus“, the short film you are about to see was written and produced entirely by me. Any resemblance to any real persons living or dead is mostly coincidental.

I’d like to say the next one will be better, but let’s not all hold our breath. And yes, she does say “my little moose.”

Tomorrow is Self-Love Day, which is by far and away a better alternative to the traditional Valentine’s Day, which I have long believed is one of those holidays that is only a big deal because Hallmark says it is. Ever buy anyone a President’s Day card? Go out to Groundhog’s Day dinner? I rest my case.

Still, there are those out there who are going to have a romantic evening planned, and it’s for those folks that I play the following video, the ones that are looking forward to taking care of a little …business.

I wish I had the time to go trolling endlessly through YouTube for really interesting tidbits, but I don’t, which is why I’m thankful that the Onion AV Club launched their Videocracy page. It yields some pretty choice videos that I might not have found otherwise, like this one of a guy singing a well known Disney song, and he… um, he can sing…ah… you know what? It’s better if you just watch it. Wait for it…

Hey, I’m not knocking it. I sure can’t sing like that — in fact we’ve established that my performance in the singing department is pretty poor (thanks again, Dustin!). I’m just saying, it’s a bit weird to watch, even on a second viewing when you’re expecting it.
