with our heads held high
We saw the Living End play at the Hawthorne Theater, and it rocked. Trust me when I say that a high energy show like that one is the perfect tonic to spending a week chained to your desk.
Even though I know it will do little good, I’d like to offer a bit of advice to anyone going to a rock show: please don’t look so surprised when a mosh pit breaks out and everyone starts slamming. It’s what happens at these shows. Looking around at everyone in disgust and trying to push people away as you try to maintain a spot at the front of the crowd is just not going to work. If you’re in that part of the audience, chances are that someone is going to slam into you. It’s what happens. I say this knowing full well that at the next show I go to I will see someone looking absolutely horrified when the crowd goes wild and everyone starts thoroughly enjoying themselves.
