It’s a long article, fair warning. Get a cup of coffee — actually, scratch that if coffee tends to make you irritable. You’re already going to get pissed off reading that article, no need to aggravate it.

I remember once reading an article in the Oregonian about a couple in Eugene where the wife had tested HIV-positive, and they refused to allow the hospital to administer anti-HIV drugs to their infant at birth. I read their claim that HIV didn’t cause AIDS and remember thinking, “Fools! Everyone know HIV causes AIDS! Don’t let your baby suffer from your stupidity.”
I hereby publicly admit that I was wrong.
