Look what the neighbors are doing now…
Imagine living in the ‘burbs, and you look out your window one day, and see your wacky neighbor (the one that’s always working on something wacky in his garage) setting up this tower in his driveway. “Hey, Martha,” you say, because about every third person in the ‘burbs is named Martha, “come look what that idiot is doing now. You think he’s trying to get free satellite TV?” Then your neighbor hunkers down behind the fort of tires or whatever he’s made to protect himself, and fires this badboy up.
Turns out it’s a 15 kVA (kilo volt-ampere) Tesla Coil, and it’s discharging as much power as you use in a week into his own front lawn. You start to think that maybe he’s not taking too kindly to you letting your dog run loose and pooping in his lawn.
Seriously, dudes, how freakin’ cool is this thing? I know what my summer project is going to be.

Can we make a bunch of smaller versions and say, put them next to our doorknobs while sleeping at night. We could make millions on makeshift home security.
